The ADDIE model is the generic process used by instructional designers and e-learning developers. The five phases—Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation—represent a dynamic, flexible guideline for building effective training materials.
What is the need? Who? What? and Why? Determine goals and identify your training objectives and timeline for project completion.
Create an outline of instructional strategies to achieve the goals and objectives including content, activities, assessments, media selection and design tools that will be used to create the project.
Content creation phase where we create and assemble the content assets that were identifieded in the design phase. Course ware is published, tested and debugged. The project is reviewed and revised according to any feedback given.
During this stage, the materials created during development are delivered to the audience and the learning process starts. Only once the training is implemented can we begin to receive feedback from the learners taking the course, and address it.
The evaluation phase is ongoing throughout the design process. We also measure how well the delivered solution achieved project objectives and are there any improvements to be made.
